Week one is nearly in the books and the headline should read “The Saints dominate Brady and the Bucs”. That is what this game was, domination. In a previous article, where I break down each game on the schedule, you could see that I clearly wasn’t worried about the over-hyped Buccaneers. Sean Payton has already acknowledged his extra conservative play-calling, saying he has to do a better job and we still should have dropped 40 on their heads.
The Saints Dominate!
As I said, the score didn’t properly represent this game. New Orleans was about an inch away from another touchdown at the end of the game. What started with a three-and-out and then Tampa marching down the field for a touchdown, quickly turned into a rout. The $75 million dollar man led the charge. Alvin Kamara had two touchdowns and was an inch away from number three. He looked like his old self, fast and shifty. Jared Cook got involved to the tune of five catches for 80 yards. Emmanual Sanders found pay-dirt and Michael Thomas did what he always seems to do, catch everything thrown his way. I couldn’t be happier with the performance I saw yesterday, and what I enjoyed most of all was the defense. This will be the best defense we have had in ten years easy. Two picks on old man Brady and a good bit of pressure. We are the team to beat!
