LSU has laid out some pretty severe self-imposed penalties. The Tigers were thrust into the spotlight for the wrong reason last year after winning the National Championship. We now that Odell Beckham Jr. is banned From LSU, Although there is more to it than that. A two-year investigation uncovered that former booster club member John Paul Funes gave $180,000 to the father of former offensive lineman Vadal Alexander. LSU is self-imposing these penalties in hopes that the NCAA won’t add a few of their own. LSU is docking itself eight scholarships over two years and reducing recruiting visits.

Odell Put The Team in a Tough Spot

We all remember after the National Championship when a drunk Odell Beckham was handing out cash to the players. To be honest, after seeing it live, my first thought was “that’s fucking awesome”. After more thought, I clearly can acknowledge that it was a bad move. The school is banning Odell from all events for two years. I love that school officials tried to say it was fake money, can’t blame them for trying. What happens when you give someone in their 20’s more money than god? You get Odell, and I don’t blame him. I wouldn’t do any better. So sure, Odell Beckham Jr. is banned from LSU, but that two years will fly by, that National Championship and all that ensued after will live on for eternity. Geaux Tigers!
