We are now in the month of July, which means we begin to turn our attention to football. Myles Brennan will be under center for the defending National Champions. I’m here to tell you that you might need to get that Heisman trophy bet in as soon as possible. Exactly one year ago we started the Big Easy Bets Podcast and one of our first bets we gave out was Joe Burrow to win the Heisman trophy at 80-1 odds. I looked far and wide and didn’t see anyone else saying to bet the house on Burrow like we were. The rest is history.
30-1 Odds For Myles Brennan
Myles won’t be getting the Joe Burrow treatment when it comes to his odds, unfortunately. We don’t need anyone to try to be Joe Burrow, last season will never be replicated. But let’s take a look at who Myles is referring to when he says “I’ll take me and mine”. We have a stable full of studs at running back, a quality offensive line and weapons on the outside. Ja’Maar Chase is entering his junior season and is far and away the best wide receiver in the nation. Then you have Terrance Marshall opposite of Chase, Terrance will have a spectacular year.
The X Factor!
Arik Gilbert! The #1 ranked recruit at the tight end position. He is the X-factor if he can live up to his potential. The 6’5, 253-pound tight end out of Marietta Georgia is a 5-star recruit and has the potential to be the best tight end in America from day one. He has an uncanny ability to high-point the ball and use every inch of his 6’5 frame. The athleticism is off the charts, can you tell that I kind of like this kid? He will be the X-factor.
Hammer Myles Brennan For Heisman
30-1 odds is great value for a guy that has weapons at every offensive position. Joe Brady wasn’t calling plays in a phone booth, our offense will not just magically regress overnight. Expect more of the same from this high powered Tiger offense and expect a great year from Myles Brennan.
