Most Awkward Sports Celebrations of All-Time

We have seen some amazing things in the sporting world. Coming back from being down 3-1 to win a series to being down 28-3 in a Super Bowl and winning. Sports are incredible, although sometimes the celebrations are not. This is a list of the top 3 most awkward sports celebrations of all-time.

#3. Chris Bosh Gets Intimate with the Champagne

This celebration had to make it on the list. The visual is already uncomfortable, but when you add the song “take it to the head” over the video, no thank you. Chris looked a little too comfortable with the victory shower surrounded by his teammates. Obviously, it is just a guy celebrating a championship, so no harm no foul. Hopefully, there were no group hugs in the showers.

#2. Peter Weber “Who Do You Think You Are? I am!!”

To be honest, I don’t know if this celebration was awkward or awesome. Either way, it was interesting. Pete was known to let his infamous “Crotch Chop” celebration fly at a moment’s notice following a strike. He was even suspended for 6 months due to “conduct unbecoming of a professional”. This guy was the John Daly of bowling and he had one of the most iconic celebrations of all time. Awkward may not be the right word, but it was definitely interesting.

#1. Tiger Woods High-Five Debacle

One of the most iconic shots in golf history, Tiger’s chip-in at the 2005 Masters. This is one shot that will forever be on the golfing highlight reel, although nobody talks about the celebration at the end. Tiger and his caddy absolutely botch the high-five after the shot drops. The most important part of a moment in sports is the celebration that follows and these two choked. They even double down and try it again after Tiger gets his ball out of the cup. These two couldn’t decide between a high-five or a handshake so they did a little bit of both. The result will make you cringe.

There are many moments that could make the list of most awkward sports celebrations of all-time, but this will have to do.
