As expected, Joe Burrow went #1 in the draft to the Cincinnati Bengals. Obviously if Cincy was picking first, then they were the worst team in the league last year. I’m here to tell you that in his rookie season, Joe Burrow will make the Pro-Bowl. Sure you can call me biased, I just watched this guy destroy the entire NCAA last season in record fashion. So allow me to break it down for you.
He Is Lightyears Ahead Of The Field
Joe had the advantage of knowing where he was going to be drafted, back in December it was basically a done deal. The Bengals made sure to get him the playbook and are supposedly adding in some of Joe Brady’s passing schemes, good idea. So he’s had extra time to learn an already familiar offense. His dad is a lifetime defensive coordinator, Joe Burrow has been groomed for this position his entire life.
The Bengals have WEAPONS!
I know that this team was terrible, but the Bengals have weapons. Lets look at who has been there. You have AJ Green, a top 5 wide receiver when healthy. With plenty of time to heal, I expect Green to get back to his usual pro-bowl form. Opposite of Green, you have Tyler Boyd who has turned into a quality #2 receiver. Joe Mixon is another guy who has battled injuries, but when healthy, he’s one of the more versatile backs in the game. Then there is the enigma of John Ross III and his record 40 time. Take all of that and add rookie receiver Tee Higgins out of Clemson, a guy who racked up over 1,100 yards and 13 touchdowns last season. So you can call it a bold prediction, but Joe Burrow will make the Pro-Bowl as a rookie and win rookie of the year.
