From Nuggets of Shit to Nuggets of Gold

From Nuggets of Shit to Nuggets of Gold

The Denver Nuggets went down 3-1 in the first round against the Utah Jazz and came back to win the series. The Nuggets did the same thing against the Los Angeles Clippers in the second round. Talk about from trash to treasure. The Nuggets game plan in the playoffs appears to be to play possum for the first four games of each series only to play their best basketball in the last 3 games.

From saying “Oh no, we suck again.” after going down 3-1 for a second time, to screaming “You can do it! Cut his fucking head off!” as the Nuggets were up 20 points in the fourth quarter of game seven against the Clippers. It’s been one hell of a roller coaster ride for Nuggets fans.

Fourteen Nuggets’ fans have been known to suffer heart attacks in the first two rounds of the playoffs. All of them passed away due to complications of COVID-19….

Nuggets of Gold: Jamal Murray

Let us give credit to the Denver Nuggets. They performed well with their back against the wall. Jamal Murray has performed above expectations. In the regular season, he averaged 18.5 points per game. In the playoffs, he has averaged 27.1 points per game. Dropping 50 points twice in the first round and dropping 40 in game seven of the second round against the Clippers.

Blazers Backcourt Trolls the Clippers for Choking

Although the Nuggets played well, the Los Angeles Clippers choked! The Clippers were the better team with more talent and they still blew a 3-1 lead. The internet would not go easy on them.

Everybody remembers when Damian Lillard hit the game winning three over Paul George to eliminate the Thunder from the playoffs, last year. Hold that thought!

In last nights game with under five minutes left in the fourth quarter, Paul George shoots a fairly open corner 3 only to hit the side of the back board. Damian Lillard didn’t hold back. When asked by @BlackClarkKent_ on twitter about the shot, he responded with “Look good to me”.

Lillard wasn’t the only one to engage in the trolling, CJ McCollum joined in as well.

McCollum, already eliminated from the post season, has put down the basketball and picked up his phone and, apparently, a wine glass. After Jacob Blake was shot by a police officer, the Clippers were one of two teams that voted to cancel the NBA Playoffs. Making fun of the Clippers for voting not to play and and also making fun of them for blowing a 3-1 lead, McCollum typed into his phone with wine glass in hand, “I didn’t think they was gonna go out like that”.

The Nuggets will take on the Lakers in the Western Conference Finals.
