Baseball Is In Jeopardy

Questions loom for the MLB

It has been six days since the start of the MLB season and already, baseball is in jeopardy. 12 Miami Marlins players and coaches have tested positive for COVID-19. I much like many others had been looking forward to baseball as an escape from all of the negativity looming. Well, six days in and we have our first problem, and it’s a big one.

The First Domino Has Fallen

This is not good, but it’s not going to break the camels back just yet. This was to be expected when trying to hold a season during a pandemic. The real issue here is that the Marlins knew they had players test positive and allowed them to go out and play. “Not playing was never in our mentality”, what? Newsflash morons, if you test positive, you can’t just go compromise the entire league. The Miami Marlins organization and also the MLB have potentially ruined the entire season in one fell swoop. The Yankees and Phillies game has been postponed tonight and this could be the start of many more. Baseball is in jeopardy of losing its season and it hasn’t even been a week.

The bubble seems to be working to perfection. As long as people like Lou Williams can withstand the urge for chicken wings. The MLB proposed an idea for a bubble in Arizona but the players association declined it.
