Ladies and Gentlemen, Antonio Brown is suspended eight games starting when he signs with a team. The eight-game suspension is due to Antonio Brown violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy. Let’s take a little trip down memory lane. On September 10, 2019, Antonio Brown was accused of sexually assaulting and raping his former trainer on three separate occasions. Nine days later it was reported that he sent intimidating messages to the trainer who accused him of sexual assault and rape.
The Spiral of Antonio Brown
Brown was fined $219,000 and then lost nearly $30 million in guarantees. Antonio Brown and Mike Mayock got into an altercation and Brown called his GM a “cracker”. Following this incident, AB released onto his YouTube page a call between him and John Gruden. The man sabotaged his career with Pittsburgh and Oakland/Las Vegas. Toss in the cryofreeze on his feet, the helmet debacle, the Instagram Live fiasco.
Adrian Peterson was crucified
Now social media warriors please give me a moment to explain. I understand that all of these incidents are off the field related. On the field “Tony Toe Tap” is basically a superhero. The ball just needs to be in the dude’s vicinity and it’s a catch. He is a monster of an athlete. However, does anyone else remember a stud by the name of Adrian Peterson? He is still breaking tackles in the league. AP was suspended for six games back in 2014. His six game suspension was due to whooping his kid’s ass.
I’m not here to tell anyone how to parent. However, I can tell you I was a horrible kid and got that ass stomped more times than I can count. It made me a better person and I wouldn’t change it. Now maybe AP saw a little of him in his baby boy and needed to set him a little straight. Either way if AP got 6 games for spanking his kid with a belt, Antonio Brown should have gotten at least a year suspension.
Now if we take Brown’s word for it, he has retired twice on social media. So really, this shit doesn’t matter. However, eight games are just perfect for a team that is making a playoff push. Jackass or not Antonio Brown is still a stud! According to some of the latest reports, The Seahawks are eyeing AB as well as considering bringing back the NFL Tommy Chong, Mr. Josh Gordon. Add those two monsters to an already solid wide receiver corps. Cap it off with Russell Wilson leading the charge, that’s a dangerous squad. Luckily they have Pete Caroll as their coach so I’m not worried. Lamar Jackson has also been vocal in wanting to add him to their squad in Baltimore. Coach Harbaugh has stated that he respects his QB’s views so who knows. We know 2020 will be an interesting season, to say the least.
